During this half term (Spring 1) we are learning how to write a poem.

We will be writing our own poems about the events from our poem

‘Iron Wolf’

The features we will be focusing on are: 

- Correctly punctuating

- Identifying poem themes

- Summarising events

- Writing in the correct tense

- Improving vocabulary used

- Using metaphors and similes

We will also be focusing on improving our skills around:

- Retrieval

- Predictions
