Trips and Experiences
Y6 Residential
Year 6 children have the fantastic opportunity to go on a residential during the Autumn term.
Previous residentials have included a three day trip to Ilam Hall in the Derbyshire Peak District and a five day trip to Plas Gwynant in Snowdonia National Park.
These residentials are often the highlight of the school year and are strongly recommended!
Drayton Manor
At the end of the year, Y6 pupils have the opportunity to visit Drayton Manor theme park.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make some lasting memories with their friends before leaving Primary school as well as an opportunity to face their fears on thrill-seeking rides or to pique their curiosity as they wander around Drayton Manor's animal enclosure.
End of Year 6 Performance
After their SATs, pupils will take on a new challenge: performing their own production to a live audience. Pupils will audition, rehearse, and collaborate to create their end of Year 6 show, developing their confidence and oracy in the process.
What else?
Throughout the year, pupils will also have the opportunity to embrace other experiences. They will visit places of worship to complement their R.E. lessons; they will enjoy swimming lessons in the Sandwell Aquatics Centre, where national athletes competed during the Commonwealth Games in 2022; they will visit a museum in the heart of Birmingham; and they will explore their local area to support their field work enquiries in Geography.
