History is about more than just facts.  We want children to be curious and think deeply about the past. By learning about important events, people, and cultures, they gain a wider view of the world and their place in it. Our lessons encourage asking questions and seeing things from different perspectives, helping children grow enquiring minds.

Our History lessons are carefully planned using the Kapow Primary History scheme, ensuring a clear progression of knowledge and skills. At the start of each lesson, children revisit what they already know, which helps them remember and feel confident.

To help children remember what they learn, we use:

• History Timeline in the Playground: An interactive timeline that helps children see when events happened in a fun way.
• Learning Maps: These are displayed in classrooms to help children recall important information and see how their knowledge grows.
