Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 

- Commas after fronted adverbials

- Adverbs, conjunctions and prepositions to express time and cause.

- Apostrophes to show possession and plural possession (the pupil’s work vs the pupils’ work)

- Inverted commas and other punctuation to show direct speech

- Paragraphs to organise ideas

- Pronouns or nouns to aid cohesion and avoid repetition

- Expand noun phrases by adding adjectives or prepositional phrases (The teacher → The strict teacher who was glaring across the room).
