Year Six School Closure
Hi Year Six.
We hope that you and your families are all well and that you are trying to stay positive during this very challenging situation.
Until we can all meet up again, we must try and make the most of our time at home. Learn new skills, keep physically active and enjoy the company of those people we live with. Remember to support your friends and family. A thoughtful message can really make a difference to someone’s day.
We hope that you are also spending some time on your studies. We know that this is not the same as being at school and we cannot expect you to work all day. However, you were making great progress before we left so try and maintain some kind of learning routine. This is also a fantastic opportunity to read lots of books - acquire new knowledge or simply escape to another world.
The question you all want answering is when can we return to school? When can we see our teachers and our friends? Unfortunately, at this stage, we simply do not have an answer. We must all wait for the Government to decide when it is safe to come back. As soon as we have news, we will of course let you know.
Please be assured that the staff are equally desperate to see you again. There is not a day goes by where we don’t think about you. We all miss your individual personalities and feel proud of your personal achievements.
As Year Six, in your last year of primary, you must be particularly anxious about what is going to happen next. Whether it be in June, July or whenever, we are determined to make sure we end the school year with the best celebration we can. As the Queen said in her broadcast to the country: “We will meet again”.
In the meantime, stay healthy, stay positive and stay safe.
