Happy New Year!
Before you access your online learning, I would just like to thank all parents for their continued support and all children for your outstanding resilience and engagement in such difficult, unprecedented times – it has been invaluable.
Regarding online learning, this will be set daily on both Oak Academy and Purple Mash. It is recommended that your child spends around 3 hours a day completing their work. As we normally would, we will be starting some new topics this term:
Maths - Shape
Curriculum - The Great Fire of London
Science - Everyday Materials
Religious Education - Judaism
Tasks on Oak Academy are accompanied with videos to help teach and instruct you. Should you find anything too difficult, you can contact me on Purple Mash.
For Purple Mash, you should each have a login that was given out to you in the form of a letter. This also had other passwords for resources such as ReadingEggs/Maths Seeds and Timestables Rockstars. It is very important that you try to engage with as much of this material as possible as well as the links provided on the Year 1 page. To access Oak Academy, all you need to do is follow the links below.
Once again, thank you so much and stay safe!
Miss Allis.
Please remember to practise your tricky words:
You will need to be able to sight read these by the end of year one!
